Ulysses Trancoso was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Ulysses Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes Paranagi AD got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo de Lima. A hard shot 21 in the game by Victor Simão from a close distance when the talented Ulysses Trancoso managed to make a qualified save. Paranagi AD's players were relieved. Ulysses Trancoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horácio da Costa went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Paranagi AD's Ulysses Trancoso got control of the ball when Victor Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Horácio da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abufari's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horácio da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Walmir Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horácio da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Victor Simão came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Abufari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Simão couldn't finish the play. Horácio da Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horácio da Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. If Anselmo de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paranagi AD's Ulysses Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Simão in the 65th minute of play. Victor Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ulysses Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Abufari's Horácio da Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulysses Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victor Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Paranagi AD defense, Horácio da Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulysses Trancoso. The Paranagi AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulysses Trancoso should have stopped the shot. After having played for 76 minutes, Horácio da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abufari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulysses Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio da Costa in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute Caio Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Simão might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Simão ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Paranagi AD's zone, Caio Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Trancoso came out of the goal and Caio Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio da Costa in the 90th minute of play forced Paranagi AD's goalkeeper Ulysses Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulysses Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Horácio da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Abufari had played much better football throughout.
