Claudinei Mandrak in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustavo Marques, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jeremias Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Zé Pedro Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurinho Perez's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Juan Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Claudinei Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guairas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pendanga's Juan Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Pedro Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurinho Perez to make the kick off. Claudinei Mandrak scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zé Pedro Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Jeremias Faria sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Guairas booed when Pendanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Mandrak in the 63rd minute of play forced Pendanga's goalkeeper Gustavo Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
