Mateus Dante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedito Mota went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Posses SC's Cleiton Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gláuber Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Abel Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gláuber Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Benedito Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Váldson Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateus Dante was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Viaducto's Benedito Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateus Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Váldson Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mateus Dante made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Benedito Mota sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Capixaba made a kick off. Abel Capixaba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gláuber Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Viaducto getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Fernandinho Prestes hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, José Pedro de Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateus Dante was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Cleiton Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Váldson Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Váldson Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abel Capixaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gláuber Sabóia made a huge save. A collision led to Viaducto getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Fernandinho Prestes hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Posses SC's Gláuber Sabóia threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abel Capixaba, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. For all the effort they put into the match, the Posses SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Viaducto.
