Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aluísio Proença started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Loredo SC's goalkeeper Dadá Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Loredo SC's Dadá Saldanha got control of the ball when Cláudio Tepedino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magno Batista hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Cláudio Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catigua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cláudio Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Rogério Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Catigua FC's Cláudio Tepedino got a free kick in the 19th minute. Dadá Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aluísio Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Catigua FC's Aluísio Proença slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dadá Saldanha. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. Cláudio Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dadá Saldanha having to make a save. If Aluísio Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zé Roberto Cunha made the kick off in the second half. Dadá Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rogério Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bernardo Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dadá Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aluísio Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aluísio Proença in the 59th minute of play forced Loredo SC's goalkeeper Dadá Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Loredo SC's João Adolfo Monteiro got a free kick in the 60th minute. Aluísio Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadá Saldanha having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Loredo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Aluísio Proença came free, but Dadá Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dadá Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Tepedino in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dadá Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Loredo SC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Tadeu Ribeiro hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Tepedino in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dadá Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute Aluísio Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Magno Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aluísio Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Magno Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Pedro Luiz Cardoso, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the referee ended the match the Catigua FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
