In the 3rd minute, Zé Roberto Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Percy de Amorim. Mugiqui SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After having played for 11 minutes, Alexandre Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mugiqui SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Luiz Gustavo Paulista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Loredo SC's Dadá Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Luiz Gustavo Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Cunha in the 18th minute of play forced Mugiqui SC's goalkeeper Percy de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Rogério Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loredo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st play minute Rogério Castro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Percy de Amorim. 2-0. Rogério Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percy de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Rogério Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Percy de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Roberto Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Percy de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rogério Castro sent off a good shot on target. If João Adolfo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Loredo SC booed when Mugiqui SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Loredo SC's Zé Pedro Mendes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Loredo SC booed when Mugiqui SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percy de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Cristiano Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Gustavo Paulista got free with Dadá Saldanha in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dadá Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Loredo SC's Rogério Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Percy de Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zé Roberto Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mugiqui SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Loredo SC.
