Tomás Pirani in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Irapiranga's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Favoretto came free, but Leopoldo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felippe Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Miguel Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Costa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Favoretto in the 63rd minute of play forced Irapiranga's goalkeeper Leopoldo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irapiranga's Leopoldo da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Pirani in the 69th minute of play. If Cléber Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 73 minutes into the match, Jauaraua's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Cordeiro came free, but José Pedro Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Irapiranga getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Silvinho Matos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Pirani in the 80th minute of play forced Irapiranga's goalkeeper Leopoldo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Pedro Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Irapiranga's zone, Tomás Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo da Silva came out of the goal and Tomás Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cléber Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Leopoldo da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Jauaraua:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Irapiranga:s goal.
