Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Orlando de Sena started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. JET STAR's Rony Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Souza in the 6th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in JET STAR's zone, Oswaldo Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Cerezo came out of the goal and Oswaldo Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th match minute, Cubatao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, JET STAR's Rubinho Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 29th match minute, JET STAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Dante to maneuver through the defense. If Michel Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Souza in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rony Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reynaldo Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Michel Souza suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Conrado Penha hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, JET STAR's goalkeeper Rony Cerezo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oswaldo Araújo. The Cubatao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. JET STAR were winning 0-1.

If Rubinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando de Sena in the 58th minute of play forced Cubatao's goalkeeper Reynaldo Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Adolfo dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Leonel Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JET STAR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cubatao the free kick. Leonel Leme hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes Serginho Paraíba shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for JET STAR's Rony Cerezo to catch but Serginho Paraíba was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Orlando de Sena's late challenge caught a Cubatao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando de Sena helped the player get up and apologised. Orlando de Sena hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Cubatao's Oswaldo Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the game, Rubinho Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reynaldo Oliveira. Rubinho Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Orlando de Sena took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Reynaldo Oliveira to make any attempt to save it. Adhemar Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adhemar Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oswaldo Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rony Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, José Vítor Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cubatao's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rony Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rony Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The JET STAR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing JET STAR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
