Germano Oliveira started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s Ricardo da Fonseca got control of the ball when Dedé Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s Beto Travassos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arthur Linhares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vivaldo Nunes during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zé Pedro Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the game, Tomás Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metaripua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gondolin Noldor F.C. the free kick. Tomás Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Arthur Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Viana in the 20th minute of the match. Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s Enio Garcia suffered a concussion after 21 minutes and had to leave the field. Ricardo da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Furtado hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Beto Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Metaripua the free kick. In the 29th minute, Beto Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Dedé Melo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ricardo da Fonseca, passed just outside the right post. If Germano Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Pedro Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Linhares having to interfere. Vivaldo Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Arthur Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Oliveira in the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Laerte Duarte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ricardo da Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Germano Oliveira had several of the Metaripua's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Arthur Linhares as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Gondolin Noldor F.C. booed when Metaripua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Pedro Viana struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Arthur Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gondolin Noldor F.C.. Zé Pedro Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Oliveira in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Toledo got free with Arthur Linhares in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arthur Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beto Travassos might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arthur Linhares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beto Travassos ran back to his position shaking his head. 71 minutes into the game, Severino Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Metaripua the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s Severino Toledo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 77th match minute, Metaripua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Pontes to maneuver through the defense. If Zé Pedro Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s Germano Oliveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arthur Linhares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luizinho Pontes's late challenge caught a Gondolin Noldor F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizinho Pontes helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Metaripua got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Pontes. Arthur Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Oliveira in the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute of the match, Germano Oliveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arthur Linhares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Germano Oliveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arthur Linhares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Zé Pedro Viana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arthur Linhares came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Pedro Viana slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 96th minute.
