In the 16th minute, Cacoeirinha FC's Victor Viana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gláuber Toscano. Gláuber Toscano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Edvaldo Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Paraense having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cacoeirinha FC's Sérgio Ferraz got a free kick in the 26th minute. Edvaldo Hames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Paraense having to interfere. Adalberto Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Hames, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gláuber Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Viana in the 35th minute of play. If Conrado Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Conrado Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Descanso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute Edvaldo Hames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Hames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Paraense having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvaldo Hames to strike the kick off in the second half. Amauri da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Toscano having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvaldo Hames in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Paraense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chiquinho Damião hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Hames struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Adalberto Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Descanso. After a rather tough play, Descanso's Silvinho Correia got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Correia in the 74th minute of play forced Cacoeirinha FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Edvaldo Hames who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cacoeirinha FC's Adalberto Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gláuber Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Viana in the 76th minute of play. Conrado Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Paraense having to interfere. Conrado Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Adalberto Paraense made a huge save. If Victor Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvaldo Hames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Adalberto Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Cacoeirinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Rezende. Conrado Catarinense struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Adalberto Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Descanso. In the 94th minute Edvaldo Hames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adalberto Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Hames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cacoeirinha FC could leave the field as winners, despite Descanso having more of the ball for most of the match.
