Gilson Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pegasus FC. When Kauã Berger came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Pegasus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauã Berger couldn't finish the play. Valdemar Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gilson Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Carlinhos Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Kauã Berger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pegasus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Valdemar Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Mattos having to interfere. If Kauã Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Arreias EC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Anselmo Oliveira hit a great ball. When Kauã Berger came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Pegasus FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Souza in the 37th minute of play forced Arreias EC's goalkeeper Gilson Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Alvarenga in the 38th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauã Berger made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Arreias EC's Luís Paulo Couto got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 56 played minutes, Pegasus FC's Valdemar Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilson Mattos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pegasus FC reached it. 64 minutes into the game, Kauã Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gilson Mattos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arreias EC's Pedro Paulo Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Arreias EC's Alexandre Furtado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vítor Figueiredo. That made the score 3-1 after 74 minutes of play. Hugo do Nascimento's late challenge caught a Pegasus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo do Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Arreias EC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Hugo do Nascimento hit a great ball. If Kauã Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Pedro Paulo Alvarenga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arreias EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.
