After having played for 12 minutes, Elivélton Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akotipa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elivélton Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Arreias EC's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Bittencourt came free, but Gilson Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, João Francisco Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gilson Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Munhoz in the 19th minute of play forced Arreias EC's goalkeeper Gilson Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, João Francisco Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gilson Mattos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualter Alagoano went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When João Francisco Munhoz came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Akotipa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco Munhoz couldn't finish the play. Elivélton Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, João Francisco Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akotipa's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Munhoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Alexandre Furtado made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, João Francisco Munhoz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Akotipa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Diamantino Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Furtado in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute, João Francisco Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 66 minutes, João Francisco Munhoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akotipa and the Arreias EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The corner ended in Fernando Rosado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Akotipa's Diamantino Trevisan did a great save. 71 minutes into the match, João Francisco Munhoz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilson Mattos, 0-3. In the 75th minute, Akotipa's Gualter Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilson Mattos. Gilson Mattos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 78 minutes into the game, Edu Prata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arreias EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akotipa the free kick. In the 78th minute, Edu Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 minutes, Elivélton Bittencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akotipa and the Arreias EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arreias EC booed when Akotipa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Gualter Alagoano took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Gilson Mattos to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Arreias EC's Gilson Mattos got control of the ball when João Francisco Munhoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Akotipa's zone, Pedro Paulo Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
