Abel Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Costa having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Abel Quadros lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Robinho Costa. With a little luck, Tangerina Futebol Clube's Robinho Costa got control of the ball when Abel Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Tangerina Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Vladimir Neves hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Augusto Rosa made a kick off. In the 59th match minute, Tangerina Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Neves to maneuver through the defense. When Vladimir Neves fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tangerina Futebol Clube's protests and gave Vladimir Neves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tangerina Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Vladimir Neves hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamílton da Cunha during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Hamílton da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robinho Costa came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Grosso SC's Abel Quadros. But to his dismay, Abel Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Grosso SC's Kléber Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Tasso in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Grosso SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleandro Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Tangerina Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Quadros came free, but Robinho Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
