After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Saldanha made a kick off. Hortêncio Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Adriano Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Armando Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Clube Palhoça's Elias Tavares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adriano Siqueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldinho Hermes in the 75th minute. William Moraes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elias Tavares. Atlético Clube Palhoça's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gilvan Lucas, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Hortêncio Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
