The tension between the Canelinha FC and the Cacal SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cacal SS booed when Canelinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th match minute, Cacal SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Baptista to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Elivélton Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Canelinha FC's goalkeeper Fiori Silveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Baptista. Canelinha FC's Fiori Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Saldanha in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Baptista got free with Fiori Silveira in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Canelinha FC's Fiori Silveira got control of the ball when Armando Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fiori Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fiori Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Igor Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacal SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvaldo Urbano to strike the kick off in the second half. Edvaldo Urbano struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Adriano Siqueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canelinha FC. Armando Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fiori Silveira having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Saldanha in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Igor Saldanha made a precise shot to the right of Fiori Silveira. Canelinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0.
