The supporters of Uruoca booed when Macunam AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertinho Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Uruoca's José Maria Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erik Brasil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 minutes, William Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macunam AD and the Uruoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Uruoca getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Fernando Perez hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cafu Vides in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If José Maria Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Dinei Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uruoca's Fernando Perez got his second yellow card of the match in the 31st minute. The referee ordered Fernando Perez off the ground. Fernando Perez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruoca's goalkeeper Artur Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dedê Ortiz to make the kick off. When Albertinho Maciel fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Dinei Cearense sped through Uruoca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Artur Prestes. After some careless play in the Macunam AD defense, José Maria Borges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Brasil. The Macunam AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Brasil should have stopped the shot. Dinei Cearense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
