Robinho Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Fernandez having to interfere. Giovanni Mello hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Evaristo Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Alan Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Afonsinho Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carbonita SS's protests and gave Afonsinho Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. Afonsinho Guedes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Adhemar Simão fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 18th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Prata got free with Hugo Fernandez in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaristo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Linhares in the 28th minute of the match. Hugo Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Prestes in the 29th minute of play. Alan Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Tangil SS's Alan Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Carbonita SS's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Prestes came free, but Hugo Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Carbonita SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robinho Prestes in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseu Pernambucano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tangil SS's zone, Eliseu Pernambucano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Cruz came out of the goal and Eliseu Pernambucano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carbonita SS's Eliseu Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Carbonita SS booed when Tangil SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Evaristo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Prata in the 64th minute of the match. Murilo Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Cruz having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Carbonita SS's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Prestes came free, but Hugo Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio da Silveira hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Basílio da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Murilo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Evaristo Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Murilo Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Evaristo Cruz. Tangil SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 97th minute Robinho Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
