In the 14th match minute, Outeiro SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Freire to maneuver through the defense. Vitório Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Allan Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Mattos in the 18th minute of play forced Outeiro SS's goalkeeper Vitório Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Outeiro SS's goalkeeper Vitório Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vitório Gaspar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Allan Corrêa went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, Outeiro SS's Fred Nascimento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antônio Carlos Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Noel Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Antônio Carlos Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Mattos in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evandro Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Gil Rosado in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Outeiro SS's Marquinhos Simão. Fred Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marquinhos Simão took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio Carlos Almeida. Antônio Carlos Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ambrozio's Evandro Mattos got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The corner led Outeiro SS's Erasmo Neiva to fire away a dangerous shot which Antônio Carlos Almeida despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Emílio Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Outeiro SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Allan Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Vitório Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ambrozio. In the 86th minute Allan Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Antônio Carlos Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Outeiro SS failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
