Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Coutinho in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitório Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes into the match, Matura AD's Romário Coutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitório Gaspar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sandro de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Coutinho in the 18th minute of play forced Outeiro SS's goalkeeper Vitório Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Romário Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Proença made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Marquinhos Simão sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Vitório Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Fábio Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Clemente Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Outeiro SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noel Veiga made a kick off. Vitório Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro de Carvalho in the 56th minute of play. Sandro de Carvalhos short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Vitório Gaspar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vitório Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro de Carvalho in the 59th minute. Romário Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Matura AD's Sandro de Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Coutinho in the 88th minute of the match. Romário Coutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Vitório Gaspar made a huge save. Abelardo Duarte made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Antônio Carlos Paranaense. The Outeiro SS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Matura AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Matura AD.
