Emerson de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Severo in the 3rd minute of play. When Natã da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Pongahy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Guilherme Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Baiano having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Natã da Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Baiano. Mais ou Menos Bom FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natã da Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Guilherme Rocha struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Marcos Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pongahy FC. After 19 played minutes Mais ou Menos Bom FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Brodel. Pongahy FC's Emerson de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Pongahy FC from getting a goal against them. If Rui Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the game, one of Mais ou Menos Bom FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Natã da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Pongahy FC's Emerson de Souza got control of the ball when Luís Brodel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã da Fonseca to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Pongahy FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Brito. 66 minutes into the game, Guilherme Rocha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Baiano. Guilherme Rocha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Marcos Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Campidelis in the 72nd minute of the match. Anderson Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emerson de Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Luís Brodel scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emerson de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abelardo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Mais ou Menos Bom FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pongahy FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
