Mathias Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. José Pedro Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Pedro Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Taboquinha booed when Quiririm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Quiririm and the Taboquinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Quiririm got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Araújo. Lenílson Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Ramos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Nunes in the 64th minute of play forced Quiririm's goalkeeper Mathias Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes, Ronaldinho Nunes made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Quiririm's Mathias Madureira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th minute, Gilberto Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taboquinha's Osmar Torres couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Quiririm. Ronaldinho Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mathias Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Ronaldinho Nunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Madureira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 94th minute of the match Quiririm got a corner. Taboquinha's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Adolfo Pimenta ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Lenílson Linares to score against Flavinho Ramos in Taboquinha's goal. 2-1 after 94 minutes.
