In the 2nd minute, Luiz Paulo Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Benjamin Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natã Paraibano hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Rafinha Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Benjamin Simões sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute Luiz Paulo Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafinha Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Simões in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Miraporanga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luiz Paulo Munhoz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Almir Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Almir Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Miraporanga got a freekick which was hit by Almir Vinhas. When Benjamin Simões came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Garcias EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Simões couldn't finish the play. After 21 minutes of play, Miraporanga's Erik Quadros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zézinho Brodel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 28 played minutes Miraporanga got a freekick which was hit by Custódio Tavares. Benjamin Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Benjamin Simões came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Garcias EC fans jumped to their feet. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Custódio Tavares to make the kick off. Rafinha Bertassi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Simões's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Rafinha Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Munhoz in the 54th minute of the match. Rafinha Bertassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Paulo Munhoz went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Benjamin Simões might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafinha Bertassi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Simões ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafinha Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Garcias EC's Benjamin Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafinha Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Miraporanga got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Ortiz. Garcias EC's Mário Guerra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Miraporanga. Marcelinho Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Miraporanga getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Álvaro Tepedino hit a great ball. Garcias EC's Luiz Paulo Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Bertassi having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Simões in the 97th minute of play forced Miraporanga's goalkeeper Rafinha Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
