Ivo Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Ademir Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felippe do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Ramalho's late challenge caught a Gancho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Christian Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cerobas SC booed when Gancho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Cerobas SC's Mané Senna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Ademir Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerobas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ademir Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gancho FC's Felippe do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Gancho FC from getting a goal against them. Ivo Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jaime Senna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enéas Fontes was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Carlos Eduardo Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute.
