After a rather tough play, Guanambi's Clemente Barral got a free kick in the 3rd minute. José Vítor Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Massa having to interfere. José Vítor Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Luciano Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Damião in the 17th minute of play. Délio Nogueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Délio Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernardo de Toledo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Luciano Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Damião in the 29th minute of play. Délio Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolas Dias having to make a save. Guanambi's Nicolas Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Guanambi from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Lindoya Verão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dino Damião came free, but Luciano Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Clemente Barral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guanambi and the Lindoya Verão F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Guanambi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Barral to maneuver through the defense. Lindoya Verão F. C.'s Luciano Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Quadros in the 46th minute of play. Nicolas Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dino Damião made a kick off. Nicolas Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Nicolas Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dino Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Paulo Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guanambi's protests and gave Paulo Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. Sidney Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nicolas Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Dias having to interfere. Sidney Paranaense took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Dias. Nicolas Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. José Vítor Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Luciano Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Guanambi booed when Lindoya Verão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Guanambi's José Vítor Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luciano Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Dino Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Massa made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when José Vítor Quadros sent off a good shot on target.
