The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joaquin Chinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Cosme went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Aílton Tepedino charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aílton Tepedino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Aílton Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Henrique Cavalcante made a precise shot to the right of Flávio Lucas. Barreiras SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Cavalcante in the 13th minute of play forced Barreiras SS's goalkeeper Flávio Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Daniel Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Chinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Flávio Lucas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henrique Cavalcante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. After 33 played minutes Manguba AD got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Branco. Barreiras SS's Flávio Lucas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Barreiras SS from getting a goal against them. Henrique Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Lucas having to interfere. Daniel Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Chinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Chinto having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Ortiz made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Henrique Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flávio Lucas. Barreiras SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrique Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 61st minute, Guga Vinhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flávio Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Flávio Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Vinhas in the 64th minute of play. Mazinho Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mazinho Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barreiras SS's Mazinho Borges got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Daniel Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreiras SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Chinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manguba AD's Ediberto Novaes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Isaltino Furtado in the 74 minute of the game. Henrique Cavalcante took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Lucas. Flávio Lucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 83rd minute Henrique Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flávio Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Manguba AD's Henrique Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Guga Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flávio Lucas. Barreiras SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guga Vinhas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Manguba AD fully deserved thier win.
