Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Rubinho Dracena made the kick off and thus started the match. Vito Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Pirani having to interfere. Mário Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Dracena in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belmiro Veloso got free with Edu Simão in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Currais SS's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Ferreira came free, but Edu Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Currais SS got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Lima. Belmiro Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Simão having to interfere. A collision led to Currais SS getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eusébio Fernandez hit a great ball. If Luiz Fábio Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belmiro Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vito Peixoto in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Pirani saved Biquinhas FC from getting behind. In the 32nd match minute, Biquinhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Vides to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the game, Rubinho Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mário Pirani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Currais SS's zone, Luiz Fábio Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Simão came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Lima during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Currais SS getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mauro Lima hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fábio Ferreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Biquinhas FC booed when Currais SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 54th minute of the match Mauro Lima completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mauro Lima a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 55th minute, Mauro Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Paulo Freire took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edu Simão. Currais SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vito Peixoto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Mário Pirani made a huge save. After 62 minutes of play, Currais SS's Vito Peixoto made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mário Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Fábio Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Currais SS's Edu Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Veloso in the 68th minute of play. Vito Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Mário Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Veloso struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Edu Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Biquinhas FC. After a rather tough play, Biquinhas FC's Baltazar Marinho got a free kick in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Currais SS's Rubinho Dracena got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Luís Paulo Freire sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Currais SS's Edu Simão didn't even have to move. After having played for 81 minutes, Luiz Fábio Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Biquinhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fábio Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vito Peixoto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mário Pirani firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 88th minute Luiz Fábio Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Rubinho Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Luiz Fábio Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
