After a rather tough play, Emburana's Diego Quadros got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 5 played minutes Emburana got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Tasso. Maues AD's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 7th minute of the game, when Mário Velasco after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Emburana's goal. Mário Velasco was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. If Rafa Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Gustavo Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Alcântara in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Betão Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Maues AD getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Valério Couto hit a great ball. Robinho Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Meirelles in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Emburana's goalkeeper Robinho Tróia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredinho Loyola. When Rômulo Seco fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emburana's protests and gave Rômulo Seco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Emburana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Seco to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Gustavo Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Gustavo Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Quadros in the 35th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betão Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Betão Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emburana's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Gustavo Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betão Alcântara in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Gustavo Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Gustavo Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Seco in the 72nd minute of play. Rômulo Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Gustavo Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Betão Alcântara lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Luiz Gustavo Barral. If Alfredinho Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maues AD's Luiz Gustavo Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Alcântara in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Emburana booed when Maues AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Mumbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséias Tasso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Gustavo Barral. Maues AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
