Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) With a little luck, Xapury's João Paulo Carneiro got control of the ball when Artur Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Jandoim SS booed when Xapury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionísio Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jandoim SS's Romeu Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Alvarenga in the 8th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Jandoim SS got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tande. Romeu Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovani Alvarenga went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Aloísio Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xapury's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovani Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Romeu Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20thth minute of the game Geovani Alvarenga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jandoim SS's Romeu Netto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Henrique Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Jandoim SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Arantes couldn't finish the play. João Paulo Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xapury's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Guto de Sena scored to the left of an out of position João Paulo Carneiro, making the score, 1-1. Artur Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Carneiro having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Xapury got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Meira. Artur Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Paulo Carneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artur Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Aloísio Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Jandoim SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aloísio Meirelles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aloísio Meirelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Aloísio Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Netto having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Xapury's zone, Guto de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Carneiro came out of the goal and Guto de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guto de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Guto de Sena notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Xapury's João Paulo Carneiro. João Paulo Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Jandoim SS getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Artur Queirós hit a great ball. Guto de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Carneiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Alvarenga in the 88th minute of play forced Jandoim SS's goalkeeper Romeu Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Carneiro having to interfere. Geovani Alvarenga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeu Netto having to make a save. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jandoim SS's goalkeeper Romeu Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
