Surucutinga FC's Marcus Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Caputira SC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Armindo Cruz hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Victor Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Léo Lucas having to make a save. Léo Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Ortiz in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Armindo Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Léo Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. Léo Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Carioca's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. If Victor Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Ezequiel Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Léo Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
