Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dudu Trancoso got the match started through his kick off. Vivaldo Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Bittencourt in the 4th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Christiano Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivaldo Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Pitta in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Castanhao's zone, Giuseppe Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Gaúcho came out of the goal and Giuseppe Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sabino Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabino Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Castanhao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Dudu Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Abel Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Tecainda got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Zonta. After having played for 37 minutes, Leandro Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanhao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Dudu Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Trancoso in the 47th minute of play forced Tecainda's goalkeeper Abel Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Christiano Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Vivaldo Gaúcho made a huge save. Dudu Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Vieira having to interfere. If Christiano Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christiano Gaúcho came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vivaldo Gaúcho could save by the left post. 76 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Bittencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tecainda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanhao the free kick. If Dudu Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castanhao were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tecainda for a fine match.
