The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Capane:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Acoriana FC:s goal. Mané Bezerra had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Ruy Donatello's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 5 minutes Capane's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruy Donatello who took care of the corner kick. In the 10th minute, Acoriana FC's Tião Souza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mané Bezerra. Mané Bezerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Capane's Alfredinho Maranhense got a free kick in the 13th minute. Mané Bezerra made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Tião Souza sent off a good shot on target. Alfredinho Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Souza got free with Mané Bezerra in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 19 minutes, Dário Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acoriana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tião Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mané Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dário Damião came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Acoriana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dário Damião couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Acoriana FC's goalkeeper Tostão Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dário Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Bezerra having to interfere. Dário Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rdth minute of the game Dário Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capane's Mané Bezerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute, Dário Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dário Damião made a kick off. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Dário Damião sped through Capane's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mané Bezerra. 69 minutes into the match, Capane's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Damião came free, but Mané Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
