Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Walmir Toledo started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Capane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Capane's Pedro Montenegro got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Prado got free with Mané Bezerra in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Vágner Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Canteiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vágner Mesquita couldn't finish the play. If Vágner Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Kaká Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lauro Neves was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, Fellipe Prado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mané Bezerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After having played for 18 minutes, Kaká Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lauro Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Toledo in the 20th minute of play. Dinei Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Canteiro's Fellipe Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lúcio Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lúcio Seco hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Vágner Mesquita was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vágner Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Bezerra having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 53 minutes, Joel Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canteiro and the Capane players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Canteiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Madureira to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fellipe Prado in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mané Bezerra saved Capane from getting behind. Lauro Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaká Amorim in the 68th minute. Lauro Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kaká Amorim went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Canteiro's zone, Kaká Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro Neves came out of the goal and Kaká Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vágner Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mané Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vágner Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mané Bezerra having to make a save. Mané Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Mesquita in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Capane's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Mesquita came free, but Mané Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capane's Mané Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Mesquita in the 91st minute of play. If Fellipe Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
