Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edvaldo Sanches took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luiz Fábio Recife charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fábio Recife the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu de Almeida in the 11th minute of play. Aloísio de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Narciso Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute of the match, Aloísio de Souza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Narciso Donato was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Taquapiri's Narciso Donato got control of the ball when Aloísio de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Cacoalinho SS getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Quintal hit a great ball. Cacoalinho SS's Carlos Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu de Almeida in the 23rd minute of play. Dudu de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Veloso having to interfere. Dinei Paiva struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Carlos Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquapiri. Cacoalinho SS's Carlos Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu de Almeida in the 27th minute of play. If Naldo Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cacoalinho SS booed when Taquapiri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luiz Fábio Recife came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Taquapiri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fábio Recife couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the game, Alexsandro Palmeira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Taquapiri's Luiz Fábio Recife quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 41 played minutes Cacoalinho SS got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Valladares. Dudu de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Veloso having to interfere. Cacoalinho SS's Aloísio de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cacoalinho SS's Alexsandro Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Sanches notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Taquapiri's Narciso Donato. Narciso Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edvaldo Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Naldo Arruda scored 2-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narciso Donato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Cacoalinho SS's Aloísio de Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narciso Donato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 79thth minute of the game Dudu de Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cacoalinho SS's Carlos Veloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 80 played minutes Dudu de Almeida could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 3-1 into the left cross. In the 83rd minute, Dudu de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Taquapiri's Narciso Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio de Souza in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto do Nascimento in the 92nd minute of play forced Taquapiri's goalkeeper Narciso Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taquapiri's Narciso Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Arruda in the 95th minute of play. Cacoalinho SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
