After having played for 3 minutes, Horácio Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bateia EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miroro's Alexsandro Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Cunha in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Andrade during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bateia EC booed when Miroro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Bateia EC's Nilmar Mazza broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Horácio Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Léo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léo Cunha in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexsandro Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miroro's Carlinhos Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vito da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleandro Fernandez in the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Washington do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Miroro's Thiago Fontes tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Aleandro Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bateia EC's Vito da Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute Aleandro Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Horácio Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bateia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léo Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Mesquita having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Bateia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington do Vale to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Léo Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Miroro's Carlinhos Teles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vito da Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlinhos Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aleandro Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Horácio Melo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexsandro Mesquita. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 62nd minute Léo Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Léo Cunha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexsandro Mesquita, 0-2. In the 97thth minute of the game Carlinhos Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bateia EC's Vito da Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bateia EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
