Dino Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Venceslau FC booed when Jacarecoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dino de Godoy scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldinho Gomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 16 played minutes Jacarecoara got a freekick which was hit by Rubens de Carvalho. Luiz Paulo Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Walmir Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Washington Catarinense struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Osvaldinho Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venceslau FC. Luiz Paulo Vidal scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmir Rosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Vidal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Walmir Rosa. Luiz Paulo Vidal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Thiago Tinoco hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Walmir Rosa made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Luiz Paulo Vidal sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jacarecoara's Osvaldinho Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino de Godoy in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Paulo Vidal in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmir Rosa saved Venceslau FC from getting behind. The supporters of Venceslau FC booed when Jacarecoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernani de Brito was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Dino de Godoy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osvaldinho Gomes. Dino de Godoy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After 73 minutes of play, Venceslau FC's Washington Catarinense made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldinho Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walmir Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Mazza in the 85th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Jacarecoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Paulo Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Rosa having to interfere.
