The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Catende SS's Álvaro Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Catende SS from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Rajada EC booed when Catende SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Víktor Penha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Rajada EC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. William Moreira hit a great ball. Álvaro Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Álvaro Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catende SS's goalkeeper Álvaro Terra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fiori Pombal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Marquez having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar da Silva in the 21st minute of play forced Rajada EC's goalkeeper Thiago Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rajada EC's Oswaldo Trancoso got a free kick in the 24th minute. William Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Celsinho Bezerra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thiago Marquez. Rajada EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Álvaro Terra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês Velloso's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Catende SS's goalkeeper Álvaro Terra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frédson Galvão. Álvaro Terra made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Frédson Galvão sent off a good shot on target. When Juarês Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Rajada EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juarês Velloso couldn't finish the play. If Frédson Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Terra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frédson Galvão in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juarês Velloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Juarês Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Rajada EC's goalkeeper Thiago Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdemar da Silva. In the 63rd minute, Juarês Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Álvaro Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frédson Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Terra having to interfere. Rajada EC's Juarês Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Madureira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thiago Marquez came out and tried to block the shot, but Ciro Madureira slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 73rd minute. Valdemar da Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Marquez having to make a save. Frédson Galvão might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro Terra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frédson Galvão ran back to his position shaking his head. Juarês Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Catende SS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
