Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Minador's Dino Azevedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Marquinhos Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Minador's Dino Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacinto da Mata. Jacinto da Mata yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 14 played minutes Cafesal got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Novaes. Alexandre Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Evaristo Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Cafesal's Osmar Tinoco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evaristo Camargo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Evaristo Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Tinoco in the 23rd minute of play. Evaristo Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Porto's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Alexandre Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto da Mata made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Tomás Moura sent off a good shot on target. Evaristo Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sebastião Novaes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 63 minutes into the match, Cafesal's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Moura came free, but Jacinto da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cafesal's Alexandre Porto got a free kick in the 64th minute. Alexandre Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Evaristo Camargo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Tinoco in the 74th minute of play forced Minador's goalkeeper Evaristo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cafesal booed when Minador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball.
