After 17 minutes, Horácio Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arayoses SS and the Urubucu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Dedé Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Urubucu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedé Toledo couldn't finish the play. Clóvis de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dedé Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ramiro Nogueira made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, Urubucu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Lago came free, but José Carlos Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arayoses SS's Christian Lago in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vito Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Arayoses SS getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. After some careless play in the Urubucu SC defense, Vito Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Carlos Sena. The Urubucu SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Carlos Sena should have stopped the shot. After having played for 75 minutes, Vito Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arayoses SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Arayoses SS's Tales de Amaral got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes, Urubucu SC's Paulinho Peres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramiro Nogueira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Urubucu SC reached it. Vito Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Sena having to interfere. If Vito Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Carlos Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Toledo in the 90th minute of play forced Arayoses SS's goalkeeper Ramiro Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clóvis de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
