Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Enrique Cordeiro got the match started through his kick off. Emanuel Castro took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Galvão. Vítor Galvão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Emanuel Castro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Emanuel Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Melo got free with Vítor Galvão in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Douglas Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Galvão having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Eusébio Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Therezopolis getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gernando Vieira hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Potiguara's zone, Emanuel Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Galvão came out of the goal and Emanuel Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Douglas Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Gildo Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcinho Lopes came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Potiguara's Gildo Pombal. But to his dismay, Gildo Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 45th match minute, Therezopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Freitas to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas Costa made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Douglas Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Therezopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gildo Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Costa in the 60th minute of play. Vítor Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute Douglas Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eusébio Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Therezopolis's Eusébio Melo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Galvão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Gildo Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marcinho Lopes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vítor Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Gildo Pombals short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Marcinho Lopes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 94th match minute, Therezopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Castro to maneuver through the defense. Umberto Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Umberto Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Potiguara's Umberto Monteiro got a free kick in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Potiguara eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
