The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nistor Strugure in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilmar Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nankatsu's Nistor Strugure got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Strugure in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilmar Prado saved ViKinGs from getting behind. Dominic Bibby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Armandinho Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ViKinGs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nankatsu the free kick. After a rather tough play, ViKinGs's Armandinho Saraiva got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, ViKinGs's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Breckenfeld came free, but Gilmar Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nistor Strugure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nistor Strugure succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. When Claudinei Saldanha fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nankatsu's protests and gave Claudinei Saldanha a yellow card for diving instead. Claudinei Saldanha hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Dominic Bibby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valério Montenegro in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ViKinGs's goalkeeper Gilmar Prado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the ViKinGs defense, Nistor Strugure kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilmar Prado. The ViKinGs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilmar Prado should have stopped the shot. Nistor Strugure's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilmar Prado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Nankatsu's Nistor Strugure sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilmar Prado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute Valério Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Bibby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério Montenegro to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Falcão Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nankatsu and the ViKinGs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valério Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Nistor Strugure put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Gilmar Prado. After having played for 81 minutes, Claudinei Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nankatsu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82nd play minutes Nistor Strugure shot 1-7, a short shot which went by Gilmar Prado and just under the crossbar into goal. Nankatsu's Nistor Strugure was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience was convinced that Nistor Strugure's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilmar Prado was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Nistor Strugure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
