Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zé Roberto Damião started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Serrolandia SC's goalkeeper Eugênio de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Serrolandia SC's Delfim Berger got a free kick in the 5th minute. Amadeu Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugênio de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Serrolandia SC's goalkeeper Eugênio de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Piracuruca booed when Serrolandia SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Amadeu Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Zilles in the 20th minute of play forced Serrolandia SC's goalkeeper Eugênio de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Serrolandia SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Eugênio de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Loureiro in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Zé Roberto Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Piracuruca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Pena to maneuver through the defense. Amadeu Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio de Alcântara having to interfere. Eugênio de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Piracuruca's Zé Roberto Damião. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 40 minutes into the match, Serrolandia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Damião came free, but Eugênio de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piracuruca's Zé Roberto Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeu Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio de Alcântara having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Amadeu Loureiro made a precise shot to the right of Eugênio de Alcântara. Serrolandia SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeu Loureiro in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugênio de Alcântara saved Serrolandia SC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Loureiro got free with Eugênio de Alcântara in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amadeu Loureiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Eugênio de Alcântara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 66 played minutes Serrolandia SC got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Machado. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Luís Fábio Zilles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piracuruca's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fábio Zilles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugênio de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeu Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Eugênio de Alcântara made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Berger during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Piracuruca's Amadeu Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Piracuruca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
