An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Curcio in the 3rd minute of play forced Piracuruca's goalkeeper Célio Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amador Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Piracuruca defense, Amador Curcio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio Zanette. The Piracuruca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio Zanette should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Loureiro got free with Dominic Bibby in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Damião in the 10th minute of play forced Nankatsu's goalkeeper Dominic Bibby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amador Curcio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Strugure in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Célio Zanette saved Piracuruca from getting behind. With 20 minutes on the clock, Juvenal Marinho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 19th minute, one of Nankatsu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nankatsu. The goalkeeper, Dominic Bibby, was totally fooled by Piracuruca's Luís Fábio Zilles, who 22 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gildo Mazza during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dominic Bibby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeu Loureiro went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Falcão Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Zanette having to interfere. After 38 minutes of play, Nankatsu's Amador Curcio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Célio Zanette was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amador Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Zanette having to interfere.
Amador Curcio took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Célio Zanette. Célio Zanette dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. If Amador Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Piracuruca's Célio Zanette got control of the ball when Claudinei Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 played minutes Piracuruca got a freekick which was hit by Caio Arruda. Piracuruca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Nistor Strugure scored to the left of an out of position Célio Zanette, making the score, 2-4. After having played for 68 minutes, Amador Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nankatsu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Curcio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Nankatsu's Amador Curcio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. Amador Curcio struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Célio Zanette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nankatsu. 76 minutes into the match, Nankatsu's Amador Curcio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Célio Zanette narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the game, Nankatsu's Amador Curcio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Célio Zanette made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Zé Roberto Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Piracuruca's Amadeu Loureiro in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nankatsu's goalie prevented a goal. Dominic Bibby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Loureiro in the 86th minute of the match. Nistor Strugure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caio Arruda during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nankatsu booed when Piracuruca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Hames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Zanette having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Amadeu Loureiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dominic Bibby was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Nankatsu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
