An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Favoretto in the 9th minute of play forced Astorga SS's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Proença struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Carlos Eduardo Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tardelli Team. 13 minutes into the match, Astorga SS's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro Furtado came free, but Carlos Eduardo Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Carlos Eduardo Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Pedro Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Tardelli Team's Murilo Favoretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Eduardo Eger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 28 minutes into the game, Manolo da Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astorga SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tardelli Team the free kick. After 29 played minutes Astorga SS got a freekick which was hit by Zé Neves. Astorga SS's Manolo da Cunha pulled a muscle in his leg after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rubinho Proença charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubinho Proença the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Astorga SS booed when Tardelli Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Fonseca's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but Tardelli Team's Eurico Donato knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. The supporters of Tardelli Team booed when Astorga SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Fábio Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Eduardo Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Furtado in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Astorga SS's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Favoretto came free, but Carlos Eduardo Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play Tardelli Team's Rubinho Proença was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 57th match minute, Tardelli Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Furtado to maneuver through the defense. José Pedro Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Eger made a huge save. José Pedro Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Carlos Eduardo Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zé Neves came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Astorga SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Neves couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Astorga SS booed when Tardelli Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tardelli Team's Almir Aguiar got a free kick in the 81st minute. Eurico Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Digo Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Astorga SS's Digo Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eurico Donato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Tardelli Team booed when Astorga SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Digo Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Eduardo Eger made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when José Pedro Furtado sent off a good shot on target. Almir Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Astorga SS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Tardelli Team had controlled the match.
