The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorginho Vale got free with Nuno Secco in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Secco was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Róbson de Salles's late challenge caught a CORINTHIANS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbson de Salles helped the player get up and apologised. Rodriguinho Leão went to the wrong direction when Flavinho Vaz was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Kléber Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Nuno Secco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hudson Simão in the 31st minute. CORINTHIANS's Christiano Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hudson Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Secco having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CORINTHIANS's Norberto Camargo got a free kick in the 35th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christiano Peixoto made a kick off. The supporters of Divino SC booed when CORINTHIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Hudson Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Divino SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hudson Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yuri Araújo during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Araújo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Vale in the 72nd minute of play forced CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Nuno Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, CORINTHIANS's Christiano Peixoto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodriguinho Leão. Rodriguinho Leão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. When Divino SC's Jorginho Vale in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Divino SC's Rodriguinho Leão got control of the ball when Kléber Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kléber Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Rodriguinho Leão made a huge save. CORINTHIANS's Nuno Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Vale in the 93rd minute of play. Filipe Cruz shot from long distance in the 95th minute, but Rodriguinho Leão was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. CORINTHIANS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
