Xanxerê Futebol Clube's Leonel Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Zonta in the 7th minute of play. Serginho Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Soeiro in the 8th minute of the match. After 14 minutes of play, Xanxerê Futebol Clube's Didi Soeiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Josué Saraiva charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Saraiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonel Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Didi Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Zonta in the 33rd minute of play forced Xanxerê Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Leonel Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Xanxerê Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leandro Corada hit a great ball. Leonel Mangueira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Linares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play.

If Didi Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Zonta took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonel Mangueira. Leonel Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Didi Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serginho Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flávio Ferreira during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Xanxerê Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Milhoes:s goal. In the 69th minute of the game, Josué Saraiva landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Claudinei Aguiar hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Didi Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Serginho Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Milhoes booed when Xanxerê Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Corada didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Milhoes were victorious despite being under pressure from Xanxerê Futebol Clube for much of the match.
