Milhoes's Serginho Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Milhoes from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Serginho Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugênio de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Serginho Silveira made a huge save. Dadá Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Linares in the 48th minute of the match. Milhoes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Renan da Cunha in the 50th minute. Milhoes's Renan da Cunha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dadá Félix in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Serginho Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio de Queirós in the 55th minute of play. Serginho Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute.
