Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dinei Bezerra kicked off to start the match. Barbatao EC's José Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Soberano Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Gaitan. Emanuel Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Gilson de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilson de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Barbatao EC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Gilson de Alcântara hit a great ball. Hendrik Bollwerk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Barbatao EC defense, Xalvador Obregon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ezequiel Pires. The Barbatao EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ezequiel Pires should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Ulysses Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik Bollwerk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Robinho Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dênis Urbano, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 32 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hendrik Bollwerk was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Dinei Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Barbatao EC booed when Soberano Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hendrik Bollwerk came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Barbatao EC's Dinei Bezerra. But to his dismay, Dinei Bezerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gilberto Valle's late challenge caught a Soberano Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Valle helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barbatao EC's Gilberto Valle got a free kick in the 45th minute. Hendrik Bollwerk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Freitas made a kick off. After having played for 58 minutes, Dênis Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbatao EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dênis Urbano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Soberano Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barbatao EC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, Barbatao EC's Gilson de Alcântara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hendrik Bollwerk. After a defensive mix-up in Barbatao EC's zone, Xalvador Obregon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Pires came out of the goal and Xalvador Obregon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xalvador Obregon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Pires having to interfere. Dênis Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hendrik Bollwerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 played minutes, Barbatao EC's Gilson de Alcântara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hendrik Bollwerk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barbatao EC reached it. In the 80th minute, Dênis Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barbatao EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Dênis Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ezequiel Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Ulysses Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulysses Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik Bollwerk having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Soberano Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Bezerra came free, but Hendrik Bollwerk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barbatao EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
