The crowd rose to their feet as Hamílton Nogueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diego Severo. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. After having played for 8 minutes, Dário Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carice SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chiquinho Neiva in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Batista saved SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL from getting behind. Pedro Batista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dário Vinhas went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 18 played minutes SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor França. Dário Vinhas succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. After 24 played minutes SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Messias. Dorival Dantas's late challenge caught a SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Severo made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Inácio de Andrade sent off a good shot on target. Toninho Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toninho Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carice SS! If Dário Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-3 became the score in the 38th minute when Chiquinho Neiva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dráuzio Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráuzio Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Dráuzio Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Vítor França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Inácio de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamílton Nogueira was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Dário Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Chiquinho Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Dário Vinhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Batista was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 64 minutes into the match, Carice SS's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Nogueira came free, but Diego Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton Nogueira in the 70th minute of play forced Carice SS's goalkeeper Diego Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL's goalkeeper Pedro Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dário Vinhas. Diego Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dário Vinhas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Batista came out and tried to block the shot, but Dário Vinhas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 86th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 90th minute, but Pedro Batista got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL hanging dry this time. Dário Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, SÃO PAULO IZIDIO FUTEBOL's goalkeeper Pedro Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dário Vinhas. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carice SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
