Bebeto Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Borges having to interfere. A collision led to CACHORROLOUCO FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Thiago Velloso hit a great ball. Thomás Borges didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bebeto Arantes went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. CACHORROLOUCO FC's Laerte Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zabele's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waldemar dos Santos was slow to take the kick. During this time CACHORROLOUCO FC's players had a chance to rest. Laerte Alvarenga might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualter Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laerte Alvarenga ran back to his position shaking his head. Umberto Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Borges having to interfere. The long shot by Tiago Gabriel Novaes in the 33rd minute really tested Gualter Fontes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Zabele's goalkeeper Gualter Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laerte Alvarenga. Gernando Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Fontes having to interfere. Pedro Félix hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zabele's zone, Laerte Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualter Fontes came out of the goal and Laerte Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Zabele's goalkeeper Gualter Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laerte Alvarenga. After a rather tough play, CACHORROLOUCO FC's Tiago Gabriel Novaes got a free kick in the 47th minute. Zabele's Genílson Furtado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CACHORROLOUCO FC. After the first half Zabele were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bebeto Arantes to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Zabele got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Félix. Gernando Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Fontes having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Zabele got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Félix. Gernando Matorin might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualter Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gernando Matorin ran back to his position shaking his head. 71 minutes in the game, Laerte Alvarenga dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Gualter Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Matorin in the 75th minute of play forced Zabele's goalkeeper Gualter Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomás Borges made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when David Paraense sent off a good shot on target. After 81 minutes, Leopoldo Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zabele and the CACHORROLOUCO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laerte Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Fontes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zabele's Umberto Matos got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Laerte Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th match minute, Zabele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Félix to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
