Nico Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banque. Vicente Moreno got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 7th match minute before Nico Melo had time to react. Tião Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Moreno took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nico Melo. Nico Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tião Lara in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nico Melo saved Areinhas SC from getting behind. When Tião Lara came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Banque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Lara couldn't finish the play. Vicente Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nico Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Areinhas SC's Nico Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Lara in the 34th minute of play. Tião Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Maranhense having to interfere. Noel Amaral struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Guga Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Areinhas SC. Hortêncio Oliveira scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Maranhense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tião Lara was the one to do the kick off. In the 62ndth minute of the game Tião Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Areinhas SC's Nico Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Banque's Vicente Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nico Melo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Areinhas SC's zone, Vicente Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Melo came out of the goal and Vicente Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute Vicente Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hortêncio Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Guga Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Areinhas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernão Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Nico Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Lara in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Areinhas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Banque's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Amaral came free, but Guga Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Melo having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Areinhas SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Banque.
