Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mathias Pirani got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Elivélton Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Sousa in the 9th minute of the match. Joel Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Sousa in the 10th minute of play. If Elivélton Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, P O R T U G A L's Adelino Maranhense got a free kick in the 16th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Mathias Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Carlos Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. P O R T U G A L's Ian Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. P O R T U G A L's Zé Carlos Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save P O R T U G A L from getting a goal against them. After having played for 32 minutes, Murillo de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murillo de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Márcio Veloso during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes Jacare got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Veloso. Ian Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40thth minute of the game Elivélton Furlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacare's Joel Albuquerque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murillo de Toledo got free with Zé Carlos Neiva in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Carlos Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Coelho in the 51st minute of the match. Joel Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Sousa in the 52nd minute of play. Elivélton Furlans short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Joel Albuquerque to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Jacare's Joel Albuquerque got control of the ball when Elivélton Furlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 60 minutes, Joaquim Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the P O R T U G A L and the Jacare players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, P O R T U G A L's Joaquim Negri got a free kick in the 60th minute. Décio Santos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Carlos Neiva. P O R T U G A L's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Mathias Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zé Carlos Neiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murillo de Toledo's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Mathias Pirani scored 1-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Carlos Neiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th match minute, P O R T U G A L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Sousa to maneuver through the defense. If Mathias Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murillo de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacare were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of P O R T U G A L for a fine match.
